Happy Parent's Day

Frosted Peanut Butter Cupcakes for all lovely Parents!! This post is dedicated to all the Parents in the world ( including myself )....Well, I never baked this cupcake for Parent's day...In fact, I never knew it is Parent's Day today, I came to know about it through FB and so thought of dedicating my cupcakes to this particular Day..... I don't know how many of you have read my profile in "About"...There I said baking is therapeutic for me and it was true in this case!!When I baked this cupcake yesterday, I was stressed out with severe headache....But once done, I was completely relaxed.... Apple & Cinnamon Muffins

Well, there is nothing much to say about this bake...I found it in one of my baking books and the pictures were quite appealing...Moreover, I had some apples at home and so zeroed in this recipe.... Ingredients: Recipe Source: Baking....made simple, Parragon Books For the muffins All-purpose whole-wheat flour - 2/3 cup All-purpose white flour - 1/2 cup Baking powder - 1 1/2 tsp Salt - 1/4 tsp Cinnamon, ground - 1 tsp Superfine sugar - 1/4 cup Apples - 2 medium or 1 large; peeled, cored and finely chopped Milk - 1/2 cup Egg, beaten - 1 Butter, melted - 4 tbsps For the topping Brown sugar lumps - 12, coarsely crushed Cinnamon, ground - 1/2 tsp Method: Place muffin paper liners in a muffin pan. Sift both flours, baking powder, salt and cinnamon together into a large bowl and stir in the sugar and chopped apples.  Place the milk, egg and butter in a separate bowl and mix. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined.

The 'Marble Cake' Revisited....

Remember my marble cake which I had baked looong back and which had almost turned into a chocolate cake, except for a few patches of white batter here and there.....I decided to re-try it once again on my mom's b'day which was on July 2.... Luckily, this time I managed to create a marble effect on my cake.... But, the chocolate was still dominant!!! I think I need to reduce the amount of cocoa powder used in the recipe (from 4 tbsps to 2)..... Wanna bite??? Happy Birthday Mummy So, this was my gift for my mommy on her b'day...I know she wouldn't like it...u know why???coz....coz....coz...she simply hates marble cake...hehheeehhhheee....  

Nutella Milkshake

My kids just hate drinking milk....It's an ordeal for me each morning to make them drink milk before they leave for school...That's when I decided to try out milkshakes! And, they just loved it.....But, that doesn't mean I serve them milkshakes everyday (c'mon it's not practical to serve toddlers with this sweet and cold beverage everyday) ....just once in a while they do get a little treat from their mommy *smiles*.... Now, I have tried many milkshakes, mostly with fruits like strawberries, mangoes, bananas, chikoos and so on...I was looking for different recipes on milkshake, when I found this Nutella Milkshake on Sharmis Passion...That sounded quite interesting and so I decided to make it and believe me it was superb!!! Ingredients: Recipe Source: Sharmis Passion Chilled Milk - 1 cup Nutella - 2 tbsps Cornflakes - 1 tbsp Coco powder - 1 tsp Sugar - 1/2 tsp Method: Add the chilled milk, nutella, cornflakes, coco powder and sugar in a blende
